Sit back and listen to the tale of Odysseus and Circe from Homer's Odyssey, as poet and translator Stan Lombardo reads from his translation of Homer and gives a sense of what it might have sounded like in ancient Greek.  Dr. Stan Lombardo is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Kansas.  His translations of the classics include the Odyssey, the Iliad, and the Aeneid, bringing them to life in a style that is easily understood by English speakers.  Dr. Lombardo served for 15 years as the head of the Classics Department at KU.  This program will be held online via Zoom.  Call (316) 261-8500 or visit wichitalibrary.org/events to register online.
