Wichita’s iconic performing arts & convention center, Century II, was opened for business in 1969. Over the past 50 years, it has served Wichita well, but is it the best choice for today’s audiences? A citizens’ committee has studied the issue and made recommendations to the City Council for what should happen going forward. Learn more about their research into how well Century II meets the needs of the arts community, conventioneers, and event programmers, and what they recommend. Panelists will include committee chairwoman Mary Beth Jarvis, Ebony Clemons-Ajibolade, Quinn Lake, and Jennifer Rygg. This event is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters Wichita-Metro. Doors open at 11:30 am for those who wish to bring a lunch or purchase one at Reverie Roasters Café at the Library.
